Shapes and Sizes

There is a great variety of case shapes from classical to concept design models.

To most popular shape types belong:

  • round
  • rectangular
  • square
  • multifaceted
  • tonneu
  • oval

Designer models aren't limited by simple geometry, and appear in unusual forms like skulls, hand fan or even a guitar.

Besides the case form can depend on the way of wearing, so exist such watches like pendant, ring and brooch.

The watch size is given in millimeters. To measure them 3 dimensions are used depending on the case form: width, length and height. For round watches width means the diameter and for the rectangular shapes - the horizontal case segment. The length is measured for rectangular cases vertically. The span between top of the glass and case back is called height.
