A one-off, tailor made take on brand’s award winning timepiece created for the biennial charity auction to raise funds for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
The Fabergé Lady Compliquée Winter ladies’ watch features a hand crafted sky-blue lacquer fan that gradually opens covering the white mother-of-pearl marquetry dial, thereby counting the retrograde minutes. Mother-of-pearl minute-track bears the inspiring hand carved message ‘Create beauty to do good’. The hour ring rotates around the outer ring of the dial. The 38 mm case is made of platinum. 8 blue sapphires were added to the diamonds-set bezel – including 4 sapphires right near the crown – to help the owner read the time.
The rounded sapphire crystal caseback reveals the details of the ingenious retrograde hand-wound Calibre 6901 with a 50-hour power reserve exclusively developed for Fabergé by Geneva based Agenhor manufacture. The decoration is quite gorgeous with delicate lines of frozen ice on the barrel and ice blue screws holding everything in its place. The watch comes on a blue alligator strap. The Only Watch auction will take place on November 9 th in Geneva. The estimate price for the Fabergé Lady Compliquée Winter is CHF 50,000 – 70,000.
