Olympic ice dancing gold medalist Tatiana Navka together with Chopard’s co-president Caroline Scheufele presented Chopard Happy Sport Tatiana Navka Edition watches in Moscow.
All five new pieces feature a diamond-set skating shoe floating on the dial, three of them have diamond-set bezels, and the special one has a dial fully covered with various gems. Production is limited to 20, 10, and 5 pieces respectively.
The open air event was glamorous and adventurous at the same time. Snowy Moscow evening, skating-rink full of local celebrities, and a real ballet on ice featuring some exclusive fragments of Tatiana Navka’s The Scarlet Flower – the upcoming show based on a famous Russian tale, close relative to The Beauty and the Beast.
Prior to the main event, we were lucky enough to have a little conversation with Caroline Scheufele. And while it wasn’t a full-blown interview, we’ve got a chance to learn more about new pieces and the sources of Chopard’s co-president’s inspiration. Did you know that Caroline is a big fan of Avatar and The latest Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson? Or even better, remember the episode in Pretty Woman when Richard Gere hands the necklace to Julia Roberts? Her reaction – not the necklace itself – was one of the inspirations for launching Chopard High Jewelry collection. Oh, and Caroline certainly knows how to combine those magnificent Chopard bracelets in one stunning ensemble! Here’s the proof!
