Backes & Strauss Piccadilly Mystery Red Heart

Backes & Strauss Piccadilly Mystery Red Heart

The Piccadilly Mystery Red Heart by the British luxury brand Backes & Strauss is available as a 33-mm or a 37-mm unique pieces. Besides a white gold case and buckle meticulously set with diamonds, it has quite a optical trick up its sleeve: when looking from one angle, you see an all-white pavé-set dial, whilst looking from the other, unveils the symbol of love elegantly depicted with red rubies. The total amount of gemstones for the 37-mm version is 1120, while the 33-mm version goes for 962. The automatic movement inside the 37-mm watch features a platinum rotor and a 36-hour power reserve. Its little sibling is powered by a quartz caliber.

Harry Winston’s Precious Valentine’s Day

Harry Winston’s Precious Valentine’s Day
Twenty exquisite brilliant-cut rubies highlight the octagonal silhouette of the platinum Harry Winston’s Precious Valentine’s Day watch. Simple white beaded mother-of-pearl dial features the hour and minute hands and an emerald-cut white gold brand’s appliqué logo at 12 o’clock. Five pear-shaped platinum petals, paved with 152 brilliant-cut diamonds of different sizes, surround a heart-cut ruby set above a bed of diamonds. The timepiece is secured to the wrist with a matching red satin strap and a diamond-set platinum buckle. A limited edition of just 14 pieces is presented in a white gift box decorated with swirling hearts.

Breguet Classique 9065

Breguet Classique 9065
This Breguet Classique 9065 variation is presented with a Tahitian mother-of-pearl dial – an ideal dark background for the creamy Arabic numerals and rose gold open-tipped hands. The second hand is decorated with a delicate crimson heart that beats out the passing time. The date is shown via the creamy numerals through a garnet window at 3 o’clock. 88 brilliant-cut diamonds illuminate the bezel and lugs of the fine rose gold 33.5-mm case. The additional romantic mood is set by the red satin strap and the crown adorned with a ruby. The piece beats to the rhythm of an in-house automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve.

Blancpain Saint-Valentin 2020

Blancpain Saint-Valentin 2020
The Saint-Valentin 2020 is inspired by an evening Blancpain watch once owned by Marilyn Monroe. Its rectangular white gold Art Deco style case is set with 84 diamonds, including two generous marquise-cut gems. The mother-of-pearl dial, inlaid with two hearts, is adorned with two brilliant-cut diamonds and two precious butterflies made of diamond and ruby hearts. Its rectangular hand-winding caliber 510 has a 52-hour power reserve and its fine finishings are visible through the sapphire caseback. Issued in a 14-piece limited edition, this special watch is available with a calf leather strap secured by a pin buckle set with a brilliant-cut diamond.

Chopard’s Happy Hearts

Chopard’s Happy Hearts
This piece from the Chopard’s Happy Hearts series grabs your attention at first sight. The 30-mm timepiece in rose gold and stainless steel features a dancing diamond, a dancing heart charm in rose gold and mother-of-pearl and another dancing heart charm in white gold set with diamonds, all three twirling on a mother-of-pearl dial with three central hands and Roman numerals. Interchangeable white leather strap completes the look.

Glashütte Original PanoMatic Luna

Glashütte Original PanoMatic Luna
The Arabic numerals in different sizes, drawn in a delicate shade of lilac, form a heart at the middle of the off-centered Glashütte Original PanoMatic Luna dial. The numbers itself are framed by nine rod indexes with 18 brilliant-cut diamonds. The special feature of the moonphase display at 2 o’clock are the sparkling little hearts in the night sky. The trademark Glashütte Original Panorama Date at 4 o’clock adorns the lower right part of the dial. The bezel with 64 brilliant-cut diamonds forms a glamorous frame for the stainless steel 39.4-mm case. A matching purple strap in alligator leather takes up the colored accents from the dial. The sapphire crystal caseback offers a clear view of the in-house automatic caliber 90-12 with its highly refined decorative finishes and a power reserve of 42 hours. The PanoMatic Luna is limited to 25 pieces.

Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Embrace

Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Embrace
The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Embrace is available in two versions, one with a blue aventurine dial and the other with a white mother-of-pearl dial embellished with radiating lines. The open-worked leaf-shaped hour and minute hands articulate the main time, while the whole lower portion of the dial goes to a rather unusual complication. An arrow-like hand – a reference to Cupid – points to the retrograde indication, expressed with a series of circlets. The poetic statement above says: ‘Je t’aime un peu, beaucoup, à la folie!’ meaning the amount of love somebody special is destined to – or deserves to – get today from the owner of the watch. However, the main attraction here is the model’s small seconds display in a shape of two rotating hearts, a reinterpretation of Maurice Lacroix’s patented Square Wheel indication. Housed within the 40mm stainless steel case is a automatic movement with a 36-hour power reserve.
