The gurus of aviation-themed watchmaking reimagine a whole collection with tons of colors and sizes.
How to produce a product family that covers several different watch tastes at once? Try using more colors and a clever sizing policy. At least Breitling has just nailed it with the new Avenger line. Starting from such giants like the Super Avenger Chronograph 48 and going all the way to the Avenger Automatic 43 and Avenger Chronograph 43, the brand literally has an option for everyone. Several chronographs, a couple of automatic three-handers, and a GMT – if it fits the sport-and-adventure spirit, Breitling Avenger is ready to take it onboard. There’s a pretty neat color variety including black, white, yellow, blue, and brown dials and straps. And don’t forget that every watch has two major versions – a regular steel and it’s dark DLC coated titanium sibling called the ‘Night Mission’.
Aside from the fact, that a chromo and, say, a GMT have totally different functions, the Breitling Avenger collection has a lot in common from the technical point of view. All the pieces are powered by chronometer-certified self-winding movements. All have a solid water resistance rating of 300 meters – the Avenger Automatic 45 Seawolf has a crazy 3000-meter rating – and every single watch can be complimented with either a military strap, or a bracelet.
