Five juicy colors adding some spice to the totally black sporty look.
Five new Corum Admiral Automatic All Black references share a trademark dodecagonal 42-mm case in black PVD-treated stainless steel, that radically changes the overall mood of this well known watch. The new image instantly seems more edgy. And when paired with blackened brass dial decorated by colorful lumed flag-inspired hour markers, really manages to bring some extra modern feel to the table. Apart from that, each chosen color – blue, red, yellow, green or orange – also echoes in dauphine-style hour and minute central hands, as well as the small seconds scale at 6, and a perfectly matched date at 3. The automatic CO 395 movement beating inside at 4 Hz provides 42 hours of power reserve.
As you can guess, using such contrasting palette results in superb legibility, and at the same time slightly narrows the style options: the watch obviously lands on a sporty-casual side of things. Don’t be too demanding in water activities department though, the water resistance here is only 50 meters. Vulcanized black rubber strap mirrors the black PVD appearance. All five references of the Corum Admiral 42 Automatic All Black are limited to 100 pieces each. The price is $5200.
