The brand celebrates the opening of its first U.S. mountain-resort boutique and launches the Spirit of Big Bang Rockies special edition.
The celebration at the foot of the Rocky Mountains hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony, a cocktail reception, and a dinner alongside friend of the brand, alpine ski racer, olympic gold medalist, and world champion, Bode Miller. As the culmination of the evening, Jean-Francois Sberro, president of Hublot North America, revealed the Spirit of Big Bang Rockies. The watch, limited to 25 pieces, comes in white ceramic and is complemented by blue-lined rubber straps. Designed for the serious skier, the high-tech ceramic – zirconium dioxide with high temperature sintering – provides a lightweight and durable case, resistant to scratching and aging.
Inside the familiar 42-mm tonneau case beats the HUB4700 self-winding chronograph movement with a 50-hour power reserve. The dial indicates hours, minutes, seconds, date and features three chrono counters. Additionally, the brand’s first mountain-resort boutique in North America, features a bar and lounge with evening trading hours. Hublot Aspen will be operating through the winter with a full selection of timepieces including the exclusive special edition Spirit of Big Bang Rockies.
