A colorful mix of gemstones to spice up a chronograph and a three-hander in tonneau-shaped cases.
Two 39-mm and 42-mm timepieces in trademark King Gold get the cool jewelry treatment utilizing all the color spectrum. Fans of all things subtle may start trembling right away, for these mega-bling watches are taking no prisoners with a shimmering paving of round and baguette-cut gemstones including sapphires, rubies, topazes, tsavorites and amethysts. The 42-mm Spirit of Big Bang Rainbow Ref. 641.OX.0110.LR.0999 features a matte black skeleton dial with three rose gold chronograph counters and three central hands. The date is positioned at 4:30. Hour markers and the whole minute scale are done via gemstones, precisely reflecting the complex bezel color-scheme. Beating inside is the HUB4700 self-winding skeleton chronograph movement with a 50-hour power reserve. Its quite unusual for Hublot 5Hz frequency reveals its close family ties with the famous El Primero by Zenith, another member of the LVMH watch division.
431 colored precious stones entirely cover the dial of the 39-mm Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Rainbow Ref. 665.OX.9910.LR.0999. Its self-winding caliber HUB1710 driving the three central hands and a date at 6 provides 50 hours of power reserve. The seven rainbow colors extend the overall festive effect by also covering the alligator straps of both watches. The price for the 42-mm chromo version is CHF 89,000 while the 39-mm three-hander goes for CHF 88,000.
