A monochrome-style version of the acclaimed liquid-time watch.
What happens when you add an all-black treatment to an already flamboyant watch? Well, sometimes it becomes even more cool-looking, and it’s clearly the case with the new HO Ref. H02387. The exteriors are typically HYT with huge black DLC steel micro-blasted 48,8 mm case measuring 18,7 mm in thickness. The dial space is also all black, while the contrasting indications are in orange. The latter includes the fluidic hours, the minute and seconds hands, spinning each in its own sub-dial, and a 65-hour power reserve pointer. The piece comes on a rubber strap – a black one, of course.
The insides of the HYT HO Ref. H02387 are even more interesting. A cam-follower system transmits the energy from a conventional manually-wound movement beating at 4 Hz to the trademark fluidic module moving the two non-mixing liquids inside the capillary tubes with the help of silphons seen through two apertures in the lower part of the dial. As always, the movement itself is visible through the transparent caseback, allowing us to admire its complex layout and finishings. The new H0 is priced at CHF 43,000.
