A flamboyant watch with a liquid time-telling mechanics gets some very interesting dial treatment.
The dial, comprising 63 mirrored facets, each lightly tilted at a certain angle, reminds of a broken mirror and symbolizes, according to the brand, the evanescence and preciousness of time. The use of monocrystalline silicon and ultra-sharp laser cutting take haute-horlogerie marquetry into three-dimensional cubism on the dial. A random kaleidoscope creates the ever-changing lighting effects, induced by human movements, and the watch turns into some jewelry object. The side view of the watch hosts the phrase ‘Time is precious’, engraved front-on and in mirror writing around the stainless steel case measuring 48.8 mm in diameter and 18.7 mm in thickness.
The HYT patented micro-fluidic module, composed of two multi-layer metal bellows and borosilicate glass capillary tube with red and clear immiscible liquids, counts the hours. At 12 o’clock a sapphire minute counter is located, its hand is covered with SuperLuminova. Four windows of different shapes and sizes punctuate the dial. One of them is a power reserve display, another – comprises a disc showing the advancement of the seconds. Through the other two you can see both bellows, that pumping up the liquids. Proprietary mechanical calibre with manual winding beats at 28,800 vph and has a power reserve of 65-hours. You can get a good view of the movement through the sapphire crystal caseback. Transparent rubber strap comes with a titanium folding buckle. The H0 Time is Precious is a limited edition of 50 watches and retails for $ 49,000.
