The crazy scull-shaped dial constructed from hundreds of pins returns. This time in even more flamboyant and colorful variant.
How can you add a visual punch to a mechanical timepiece using fluid indication, decorated with a huge scull – or should we say tons of pins, set in a form of a scull, – measuring 48.8 mm in diameter, and sitting at 20 mm tall on your wrist, including the doomed sapphire crystal? The answer is – try using some unexpected colors: turquoise, orange and burgundy would surely do the job. The layout of the anodized titanium dial is following the previous HYT Soonow editions with the 313 rose gold pins and about a 1000 high-precision perforations, rose gold scull teeth, one eye socket acting as a power reserve display, and the other as a tricky small seconds where words ‘soon’ and ‘now’ are constantly changing places. The trademark HYT capillary technology indicates elapsed time by mixing two liquids – transparent for the elapsed time and black for the remaining time.
The fluidic module of the HYT Soonow Drop Three Ref. H02455 is brought to life by a manually-wound movement featuring a cam-follower system and providing a 65 hours of power reserve. Its hand-bevelled bridges and Côtes de Genève decorations are visible through the transparent caseback. The piece has some 50 meters of water resistance and comes complemented by an orange rubber strap. The overall production is limited to only 5 watches, so you’d better hurry.
