Produced especially for the Salon Internacional Alta Relojería held in Mexico city, the Louis Moinet Only Mexico reflects Mexico’s culture and history in almost any tiniest detail. The rose gold case measuring 45.4mm in diameter features an open-worked lugs and the brand’s signature six-screw bezel. It is extensively hand-engraved with pre-Colombian patterns. The openworked engraving of the dial depicts the Sun Stone, one of the best-known and most iconic works in Aztec art from XV century. Beneath the pattern lies a dark-colored meteorite – Allende – the oldest-known material in the world, found in the State of Chihuahua. It estimated to be 4.567 billion years old. The center of the dial is made from Toluca iron meteorite, that has been given a blue treatment.
The Louis Moinet Only Mexico is powered be the manually wound Caliber LM35 regulated by a one-minute tourbillon. The movement running at 3Hz frequency has a power reserve of 72 hours and is visible through the transparent caseback.The watch comes on an alligator leather strap and has a price of CHF 250,000.
