A rather special automotive-inspired piece, introduced right in the middle of a racing heaven – the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Being the official Goodwood Festival of Speed timekeeper, Montblanc has logically chosen these event as a place to debut its TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph Ref. 124073. You know, showing a classical racing-inspired chrono next to 600-something vintage cars and motorcycles is surely a nice move. Coming with an aged steel 43-mm case, a black dial with nice legible grey counters, dauphine central hands, red chrono accents, and domed sapphire crystal it does look classical, yet not too nostalgic. Now add a black ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale and a black PVD winding crown, and you’ve got a very versatile everyday watch.
Powered by the automatic caliber MB 25.10 with a column wheel chronograph function, the piece has a classical three-eye layout with two chrono counters, small seconds at 6 and a matching date window at 4,5. The piece has a solid steel caseback and is water resistant up to 100 meters. The Montblanc TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph Ref. 124073 is complemented by a black tanned leather strap. The production is limited to 1500 pieces.
