A watch inspired by the Earth’s southernmost continent.
Ulysse Nardin Diver X Antarctica
Ulysse Nardin is dedicating the Diver X Antarctica to the frozen tip of the planet and its explorers. The inspirational figure is a friend of the brand – photographer Sebastian Copeland, who captures the beauty of the least inhabited continent on Earth and uses his artistic work to communicate some global messages. The case of the Diver X Antarctica measuring 44 mm in diameter is made of titanium. But the general motive of the piece is a white and blue resembling of Antarctic light blue icebergs and frozen ocean with a trademark X standing in the middle of the gray sand-blasted dial: matte white rubber strap and a matching white rubberized rotating bezel with blue zero number, indexes and hands filled with white lume, blue minute scale, blue power reserve indication at 12 o’clock and the small seconds at 6 with a white round date window right underneath it.

The watch is driven by the in-house UN-118 movement with silicone escapement and 60 hours of power reserve. The stamp on the caseback details the coordinates of the Antarctic Continent: 90° longitude and 0° latitude, as well as the route of the Vendée Globe sailing race, of which Ulysse Nardin has become the official sponsor. The Ulysse Nardin Diver X Antarctica has a water resistance of 300 meters.
