One extra sparkling version joins the recently released ladies’ collection.
We’ve already covered the new women’s collection launched by Vacheron Constantin about a month ago. Now the genevan brand has added a diamond-set version of the Égérie Moon Phase, and its bold all-in approach seems to deserve your attention too. After all, it’s hart to ignore some 1344 brilliant-cut diamonds – plus a rose-cut one, adorning the offset crown – resulting in 11.95 carat shine. We’re talking 246 diamonds covering the 37 mm white gold case, 588 diamonds set in five rows on the white gold bracelet, and, of course, the 510 diamonds forming multiple circular rows on the dial.
Despite the jewelry department obviously dominating here, the watch still has a mechanical heart. The central leaf-type hour and minute hands, a thin blued seconds hand, and an off-centered moonphase at 2 are driven by the in-house 1088 L self-winding calibre with 40 hours of power reserve. As always, its refined finishings as well as an open-worked 22-carat gold oscillating weight, mimicking the Maltese cross, are revealed through the sapphire crystal caseback. The Égérie Moon Phase Jewelry Ref. 8016F/126G-B499 is available exclusively from Vacheron Constantin boutiques. The price is $164’000.
