Description This limited edition Breitling commemorates the first non-stop air balloon voyage around the world. The journey took about three weeks in March 1999, and was accomplished by legendary balloonists Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones in their giant craft, the Orbiter 3, which was made in Bristol, UK, and sponsored by Breitling. Both men wore Breitling Emergency watches during the circumnavigation. The Emergency is an iconic timepiece for adventurers, which made headlines as the first watch fitted with an emergency distress beacon. This special edition has an image of the Orbiter 3 on the dial and the caseback is engraved with a map of the balloon's route and the pilots' names.
